Hope's Bakery
I would like to say that work experience in hopes bakery was a good expierence to have but it was actually very dissapointing. I was glad that i didn't have to go for the final two days as it was not enjoyable at all. I was never so glad to see snow and not come in. If I was to write a work expeirence report it would look like this. Day1: washed dishes Day2: washed dishes day 3: Washed dishes. I did not find the staff freindly or easy to work with at all. They were rude, unhelpful and they did not show me anything about the job. If they messed up in something that was nothing related to me, they would blame the incedent on me. For the rest of the staff I can say this but not for one of the chefs that was very kind. He always tried to find jobs for me to do and he showed me how the place worked even though he was not supposed to and he had lots of work to do. If not for his kindness, I don't know what I would have done. From 9:00am to 4:00pm I washed dishes. I was lucky if I got to chop lettuce or an onion and that was the highlight of the job. I don't know how I would gain any experience from washing dishes for three days or the expected five. I have worked in other restuarants/cafes's before and none have been as rude and unwelcoming as they were in hope's bakery. I would defiently not reccommend anyone going to work in this establishment or go for work expeirence unless they want to be washing dishes in a rude, negative enviroment. From this I would be very hesitant in buying anything in their bakery again.
